1. Introduction
ShowIn AI ("ShowIn AI," "we," "us," or "our") is an SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) content platform. We help you research, create, and publish optimized content and track how your brand appears across AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google Gemini.
This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect through our websites, applications, and services (together, the "Service"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account & Identity
You create an account by signing in with Google. Through Google OAuth we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier. We do not create, receive, or store a password for your ShowIn AI account.
2.2 Content & Project Data
Information you enter to use the Service, including website domains, brand names and descriptions, keywords, target audiences, competitors, the prompts and topics you choose to monitor, and any files or images you upload for use in your content.
2.3 Connected Accounts
When you connect a third-party service, we store the access tokens or credentials needed to operate that integration on your behalf, and we access the associated data:
- Google Search Console: read-only performance data (impressions, clicks, queries, and rankings) for the properties you authorize.
- WordPress & Shopify: the credentials and endpoints required to publish content to the sites you connect.
2.4 Payment Data
When you subscribe, our payment processors (Stripe and Creem) collect your billing details and process your payment. ShowIn AI receives limited transaction data (such as plan, status, and the last four digits of your card) but never stores full card numbers.
2.5 Usage & Technical Data
We automatically collect data about how you use the Service — such as generation jobs, audit and monitoring runs, and feature usage — along with technical information like IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps, together with essential cookies used to keep you signed in and secure.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the Service: generate content and media, run SEO research and GEO visibility monitoring, publish to your connected sites, and report on your performance.
- Operate your account: authenticate you, manage subscriptions and credits, and provide support.
- Communicate: send job notifications, security alerts, and important product or billing updates.
- Improve & secure: analyze aggregated, de-identified usage to improve our models and workflows, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure.
- Comply with law: meet our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. How We Work With AI
AI is central to the Service, so we want to be clear about how your data is involved:
- Content generation: to create articles and media, we send relevant text (such as keywords, brand details, research, and drafts) over encrypted connections to large-language-model and image providers, including OpenAI.
- AI-visibility monitoring: to measure your GEO performance, we send the prompts and brand terms you configure to third-party AI answer engines (such as ChatGPT/OpenAI, Perplexity, and Google Gemini) and analyze their responses for mentions and citations of your brand.
- No training of public models: we do not use your private brand data, uploaded files, or generated drafts to train public or foundation AI models, and we work with providers whose API terms do not use submitted data for their own model training.
- Embeddings: we generate text embeddings from titles and content only to measure similarity (for example, to avoid duplicate titles and suggest internal links). We do not build a searchable knowledge base of your content beyond this limited use.
5. Google User Data & Limited Use
We use Google Sign-In for authentication and the Google Search Console API for performance analytics. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

ShowIn AI's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We request only read-only access to your Search Console data.
- We use Google data solely to provide user-facing features and never for advertising.
- We do not sell Google user data or transfer it except as required to provide the Service or by law.
- We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you ask us to, it is necessary for security, or the law requires it.
- You can revoke access at any time from your ShowIn AI settings or your Google Account.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you delete your account or your subscription ends, we retain project data for a limited grace period (up to 90 days) to allow recovery, then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, or security reasons.
8. Security & International Transfers
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and we store integration tokens in encrypted form. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because we and our providers operate globally, your information may be processed in countries other than your own; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:
- Edit your brand and project information directly in the Service.
- Disconnect any integration at any time from your settings.
- Export your keyword lists and generated content.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
